“Music is the appropriate absence of silence…”

“Not an original quote, but very true. The problem with real silence is that there is no such thing, as every engineer, sound designer and post audio technician knows. I’ve been working in the entertainment industry for over 30 years. I started out playing bass at 11 in the garage of my best friend’s house. Funny thing about that, we were all “paperboys” for the local newspaper. Should have named the band that… I ran a recording studio that started back in 1987 which evolved into a CD and Laser Disc brokerage that replicated over 1000 titles. The studio recorded over 1500 albums for vanity, Christian and Vietnamese markets. I was a technical trainer for Logic Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, and Pro Tools then started teaching work flows and production at a community college. However my main passions were film making and music for films. I made two films in the 1980’s but never got my composition passion going until the 21st century. Now I am on the path to write as much music as I can, my 1000 pieces of bad art, to improve my mastery of music composition for film and games…”
